On the second day of his visit to Beijing, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met with Vice President of PR China Wang Qishan.

Vice President Wang and Minister Dacic expressed their pleasure with the very high quality of the relations between the two countries maintained at the level of comprehensive strategic partnership.

Minister Dacic underlined that his visit to China in the midst of coronavirus epidemic was a token of Serbia and its people's solidarity with China. He expressed hope that China would win the fight against the epidemic in the immediate future.

Vice President Wang said that the fight to have the coronavirus epidemic put under control was also the fight for the security and good health of the Chinese people, but of the global community as a whole, too, given that the efforts made by China started to show results, thus allowing many countries to save precious time.

Assessing that good knowledge of the past can only solidify the mutual friendship, the collocutors exchanged views on the issues related to the history of Yugoslavia and Serbia.
