The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia has condemned in the strongest terms the "burning of the Montenegrin flag" and pointed out that such an act plays into the hands of those who are trying to shift responsibility for the crisis in Montenegro to Serbia.

Without commenting on various statements coming from Montenegro trying to falsely shift responsibility for the crisis in Montenegro from the adoption of the Law on Freedom of Religion directed against the Serbian people and the Serbian Orthodox Church, onto Serbia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the burning of the Montenegrin flag.

Such an act only plays into the hands of the enemies of the Serbian people and tarnishes Serbia's reputation as a serious state seeking to resolve regional issues peacefully, through dialogue, and in this case in Montenegro.
