Minister Dacic in talks with Minister Sergey Lavrov

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov in Moscow today.

The two collocutors concluded that the relations between the two countries reached a very high level of strategic partnership which can be observed in both the level of trust embodied in our relations and intense dynamics of top-level meetings.

The talks revolved around current issues related to bilateral cooperation, the deepening of bilateral ties in all areas, the situation in both Kosovo and Metohija and the region. Minister Dacic informed his Russian counterpart about the current situation regarding the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and expressed gratitude for the strong and consistent support of the Russian Federation to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with cooperation at the multilateral level emphasizing the importance of continued mutual support in international organizations.
The dynamic development of economic cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Russian Federation in the past period was also noted at the meeting, owing to the work Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yury Borisov, who held a meeting on the same day in Moscow, with the aim of preparing for the next Intergovernmental Committee session.
