First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with Dolores Al Shelleh, a climber who scaled Mt. Everest in May, earlier this year.

Dolores Al Shelleh, daughter of a Serbian mother and a Jordanian father, thus became the first Jordanian and the second Serbian woman to climb Mt. Everest. When she reached the so-called Roof of the World she unfurled the flags of both Serbia and Jordan.

Minister Dacic said that he was very pleased to meet with Ms. Dolores Al Shelleh, congratulating her on the incredible success achieved and wishing her the best of luck in further climbing feats.

Dolores Al Shelleh, who lives in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where she has been engaged in "The Sustainable City" project to raise awareness of UN Sustainable Development Goals (climate change, development of sustainable cities and communities, gender equality, etc.), expressed a good will to establish a more intensified cooperation with Serbian institutions to share her experiences and contribute to implementing all of the Sustainable Development Goals.
