Foreign Minister Dacic receives the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Today, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received a courtesy call from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Serbia Gabit Sizdikbekov who had presented His Letter of Credence to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on 24 October.

Ambassador Gabit Sizdikbekov is the first Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Serbia with a seat in Belgrade considering that Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has issued the decree to raise the diplomatic representation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Serbia to an Ambassadorial level in July this year.

The Foreign Minister welcomed the new Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan wishing him a successful mission, expressing his particular pleasure at the opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Belgrade. He evaluated the bilateral relations between our two countries as exceptionally good and noted that there was ample room for their further advancement, especially with regards to economic cooperation.

Ambassador Sizdikbekov expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized that he would work on the further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries in all areas during his tenure, including those areas in which cooperation was on an inadequate level.

An agreement was reached on the further continuation of successful cooperation with the aim of advancing overall bilateral cooperation, realizing high and top level visits in the upcoming period, as well as continuing the exchange of opinions on important matters within regional and multilateral frameworks.
