State Secretary Nemanja Stevanovic attended the working meeting of the diaspora association "Koreni" (The Roots) in Novi Sad, which was held in the municipality of Lopare in the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

The meeting, co-hosted by the Association's President Stojan Stojanovic and Chief Official of the Lopare Municipality Rado Savic, discussed, among other things, the initiative launched by the Association to establish regional committees in Serbia and the Republic of Srpska.

State Secretary Stevanovic, in his brief statement, pointed to the importance of cooperation between the mother country and the diaspora. He recalled that Serbian diaspora had top-level experts all over the world, and in his capacity as member of the Decorations Commission of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic he called attention to Serbian experts in the field of medicine. In this context, he reminded that last year President Vucic decorated two Serbian medical doctors: Branko Bojovic MD, who lives and works in Boston, and Milan Milenkovic MD, who lives and works in Gothenburg, for their exceptional results in the transplantation field.
