Ambassador Filipovic in talks with NATO Assistant Secretary General Tacan Ildem

Ambassador Branimir Filipovic, Acting Assistant Foreign Minister for security policy met with Ambassador Tacan Ildem, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy, at the 7th Belgrade NATO Week event.

In the talks, both sides expressed pleasure over the upswing in the Serbia-NATO partner relations while discussing potential for the further promotion of cooperation in the field of public diplomacy, with the aim of informing the country's wider public about the key features of and results achieved so far in the framework of Serbia-NATO partner cooperation, carried out in line with the policy of military neutrality pursued by Serbia.

They underlined in particular the importance of the adoption of Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) second cycle, for the period 2019-2021, for the development of cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

Ambassador Filipovic pointed out in particular the importance of an undiminished and status-neutral engagement of the NATO Mission/KFOR in Kosovo and Metohija, pursuant to its mandate under United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
