First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic visited today in New York the Belgrade Marathon booth at the New York City Marathon Health and Fitness Expo.

"At the invitation of Belgrade Marathon and the Tourist Organization of Belgrade I visited the Belgrade Marathon booth at the expo hosted by the New York City Marathon – the biggest such event in the world, to help promote and support the Belgrade Marathon.

I am glad to see scenes from the Belgrade event on display here and my hosts informed me that a large number of people enquired about the Belgrade Marathon. This is yet another way to promote our country as the Belgrade Marathon is today a well-established event, albeit of much smaller scale than the one in New York, but we do need to learn from the best. In any case, what matters the most is that we have a presence here with many people seeking to be informed about the Belgrade Marathon and planning to visit the event."

Director of the Belgrade Marathon Dejan Nikolic said that he was pleased that the Serbian Foreign Minister visited their booth.

"This is the fourth time that the Belgrade Marathon is present at the expo, successfully showcasing our event to the widest international running community. This is the biggest expo event of its kind in the world as is the New York Marathon. We believe that owing to this kind of promotional activities the number of guests from the whole world will only continue to increase and that this trend will also see the holding of the 33rd Belgrade Marathon, on 26 April 2020", said the Belgrade Marathon Director.
