First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with Defence Minister of the Republic of Cyprus Savvas Angelides, who is on a two-day official visit to the Republic of Serbia, at the invitation of Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin.

The conversation, which took place in a cordial atmosphere, confirmed the extraordinary bilateral relations between the two countries, based on the closeness and friendship proven in history between the two nations and the two states.

Strong and principled mutual support was expressed for the preservation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia and those of the Republic of Cyprus, while the Cypriot side expressed full support for the European integration process of the Republic of Serbia.
