The abducted children of Slavica Burmazovic came back to Serbia today, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Four years after their abduction and more than three years since the Turkish court ruling became effective, based on an agreement reached between Minister Dacic and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Zarif, the children were enabled to go back to their mother, Slavica Burmazovic, who, together with Foreign Minister Dacic, welcomed them at Nikola Tesla Airport today.

The children were accompanied by Serbian Ambassador to Iran Dragan Todorovic, and Slavica said that it was precisely Minister Dacic and Ambassador Todorovic who were to be credited for making her hugely happy.

Minister Dacic said that he was delighted that four-year-long discussions came to an end and that he was immensely grateful to Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif, who personally interceded to have this problem solved.

He added that the children were escorted by the Serbian Ambassador to Iran, because there was no other way to do it, emphasizing that, with the permission of President Aleksandar Vucic, the Government wanted to do everything in its power to help.
