Gratitude for the principled support of Azerbaijan to the territorial integrity of Serbia

On the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had a bilateral meeting with the host of the event – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov.

Both Ministers acknowledged the high level of bilateral relations noting that the cooperation should be continued in all fields. They also assessed cooperation in international organizations as positive.
Minister Dacic thanked Minister Mammadyarov for the principled support of Azerbaijan to the territorial integrity of Serbia and its position vis-à-vis the question of Kosovo and Metohija, especially for the support his country extended in the wake of the so-called Kosovo bids to join international organizations.

At the request of his colleague, Minister Dacic informed him of the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the recent attempt of so-called Kosovo to join Interpol before they withdrew their application.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister informed Minister Dacic of the activities of Azerbaijan as Chairman of NAM, emphasizing that 158 states were expected to attend the Summit, including all NAM member states.
