Opening of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Belgrade is the crown of friendly relations

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic held a bilateral meeting with Minister of State of the Kingdom of Cambodia David Louis on the sidelines of a Ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement in Baku.

The Head of Serbian diplomacy stressed that Cambodia and Serbia had traditionally friendly relations, but that friendship should be nurtured and in that context he welcomed Cambodia's decision to reopen its Embassy in Belgrade.

The Minister of State of Cambodia emphasized that the opening of the Embassy represented the crown of our good bilateral relations and expressed hope that Serbia would soon decide to reopen Embassy in Cambodia. He pointed out that there was large room for the promotion of economic cooperation, which was going to be one of the major tasks of the new Embassy.

Minister Dacic thanked his interlocutor for Cambodia's support on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.
