Minister Dacic and Szijjártó:”Overall cooperation between Serbia and Hungary is steadily being promoted”

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met with Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó following the opening of Kübekháza – Rabe border crossing.

The Ministers expressed mutual satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations as confirmed by an increasing number of joint Government sessions. They emphasized how important it was to maintain the current pace of holding these joint sessions which sent a powerful political message and confirmed a high level of understanding and trust in relations between the two states. They also discussed the Agreement on Strategic Partnership which should be signed at the forthcoming joint Government session.

Both sides agreed that the overall cooperation between the two states was constantly promoted and that energy stability and better infrastructure ties were some of the priorities which should be addressed in the coming period.
The Serbian Foreign Minister thanked Minister Szijjártó for his consistent support to Serbia's EU integration.
