First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, received today the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of France to the Republic of Serbia, Jean Louis Falconi.

Minister Dacic wished Ambassador Falconi a welcome and every success in his work, emphasizing that he may count on our full support in that respect.

Ambassador Falconi emphasized that upon coming to Serbia he was met with a very good reception and that he was convinced of readiness on our part to improve all aspects of cooperation with France.

It was jointly noted that Serbian-French relations had been constantly evolving in the spirit of the traditional friendship forged between the two countries and peoples. In the talks, it was assessed that the very successful visit of French President Emmanuel Macron in July this year gave a strong impetus to bilateral cooperation, and that in the coming period it was necessary to work intensively on concrete implementation of the agreements reached and on achieving fresh results.
