First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic, who attended, as a member of the Serbian Delegation, the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, also took part in a series of side-events that brought together numerous world leaders.

"A number of important meetings have taken place on a multilateral level as well, at various side-events such as the Climate Action Summit hosted by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the Meeting "Call to Promote Religious Freedom attended also by President Trump, his associates and family members, the Conference on Media Freedom and Protection of Journalists chaired by the UK Foreign Office and hosted by Secretary of State for the Commonwealth Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon and Amal Clooney, UK Special Representative on Media Freedom. I invited Amal Clooney to come to Serbia so that we could continue, together with UNESCO, to work on this important topic.

I will soon travel to New York again to attend the regular meeting of the Security Council devoted to Kosovo and Metohija that will take place here in October. The situation in Kosovo and Metohija following the parliamentary elections will be discussed at that meeting", Minister Dacic said.
