Iraqi Foreign Minister invites Serbian companies to participate in his country's projects

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had a meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohamed Alhakim, on the fringes of the General Debate of the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

In addition to the mutual evaluation of good and friendly relations, the two collocutors placed special emphasis on numerous opportunities for intensifying cooperation in various fields.

The Iraqi Minister pointed out that Iraq had big infrastructure needs in the area of reconstruction projects and called on Serbian companies to take part in those projects. He identified agriculture, energy and health sectors as those of particular interest.

Both sides agreed on the continuation of top-level political dialogue and expressed mutual support on issues of priority interest for the two countries.
