First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic, in the course of the General Debate at the 74th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, had a brief meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Minister Dacic took the opportunity to congratulate President Macron on an excellent speech he made on his recent visit to Serbia, noting that this was, in his opinion, one of the best visits by a foreign official in the history of our country.

President Macron, accompanied by his spouse Brigitte, replied that this was a particular honour and great pleasure for him. Furthermore, he told his wife that the Minister had a great singing voice and that he had had a lovely time in Serbia.

The French President said that he waited for the elections in Kosovo in Metohija to be over so that he could take part in the resolution of the problems in Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. He ended the conversation by sending his best regards to President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic.
