First session of the Joint Committee for Economic, Trade, Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Serbia and Georgia

First session of the Joint Committee for Economic, Trade, Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Serbia and Georgia was held today in Tbilisi.

During the session, Co-Chairs of the Joint Committee, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nemanja Stevanovic and Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Gennady Arveladze discussed the most important issues related to the economic cooperation and agreed on the future course of action, especially in the fields of trade and investment, agriculture, civil-engineering, transport, tourism and energy and emphasized the need to expand the existing contractual and legal framework.

Co-Chairs Stevanovic and Arveladze signed the Protocol of the Joint Committee session.

The session of the Joint Committee was preceded by the Business Forum, held on 3 July 2019, with participation of a large number of companies from Serbia and Georgia, co-organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia.

The next, second session of the Joint Committee is scheduled to take place in 2021 in Belgrade.
