Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic signed up today a book of condolences opened at the Tunisian Ambassador's Residence in Belgrade , following the death of Tunisia's former President Beji Caid Essebsi.

The Republic of Serbia and its citizens sincerely regret the departure of the great statesman and friend of our country, former President Beji Caid Essebsi.

His contribution to building modern Tunisia since it gained independence in 1956 is immeasurable, as is his commitment to building a democratic and prosperous society.

On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, I offer my deepest condolences to the leadership and people of the Republic of Tunisia", the Head of Serbian diplomacy wrote in the condolence book.
