Traditional friendship fostered between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Cambodia

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received today a courtesy call from Rithya Khieu, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Serbia.

In the talks, both sides conveyed being pleased with the exceptional bilateral relations existing between Serbia and Cambodia, characterized by a traditional friendship without open issues, by full mutual respect and a high level of support on key issues.

Minister Dacic said that he was particularly pleased with the decision of the Kingdom of Cambodia to re-establish its diplomatic mission in Belgrade.

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Serbia reiterated the gratitude of the Serbian side for the continued support extended by the Kingdom of Cambodia to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia.

Both sides expressed hope that the period ahead would see the promotion of cooperation between the two countries, most notably in the economy, but in other areas as well.
