Minister Dacic meets newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Finland

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic received a courtesy call from the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the Republic of Serbia Kimmo Lähdevirta , welcoming the Ambassador and wishing him success during his tenure in Belgrade.

Both sides noted that the bilateral relations were very good and underlined that there was a mutual interest to further develop and strengthen relations in all areas.

This year marks 90 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the anniversary bearing witness to the friendship existing between Serbia and Finland.

Minister Dacic thanked Finland, which took over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union until the end of the year, for its continued support to the European integration process of the Republic of Serbia.

The Serbian Foreign Minister confirmed the readiness of Serbia to step up the overall bilateral relations with Finland, noting that Serbia was interested to further develop cooperation, particularly in the area of economy, as well as in the area of digitalization, it being one of the priorities of the Serbian Government.
