First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic had a meeting, just before the start of UNSC session, with Kuwaiti Permanent Representative and President of the Security Council for the month of June Mansour Al-Otaibi.

Serbia's highest-ranking Diplomat reasserted to his collocutor that Serbia remained committed to resolving the issue of Kosovo through a dialogue and compromise. He also conveyed that Belgrade stood ready to work to strengthen the bilateral cooperation with Kuwait in areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Al-Otaibi stressed that Kuwait supported the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, and time and patience were needed in order to reach a political solution. He too expressed interest in improving bilateral relations between the two countries.
