First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic has received today UNDP's new permanent representative to the Republic of Serbia, Francine Pickup, who handed him the original of her credentials. Ms. Francine Pickup recently took up the post of UNDP head in Serbia and previously served as UNDP permanent representative in India.

Minister Dacic wished Francine Pickup a welcome and successful endeavour. He expressed satisfaction with the previous engagement of the UNDP Office in the Republic of Serbia, especially when it comes to providing technical assistance and expertise for development projects, implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and strengthening sustainable development and humanitarian aid system, thanks to which a significant contribution was made to the overall reforms and faster progress of Serbia in the process of becoming a full-fledged member of the EU.

Francine Pickup thanked for the support and stressed that, during her tenure, she would devote efforts to develop the past successful cooperation on a continuous basis and further improve it through intensification of the overall UNDP activities in the Republic of Serbia.
