Ambassador of the United Kingdom makes a farewell call

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic today received a farewell call from Ambassador of the United Kingdom Denis Keefe.

Ambassador Keefe underlined that he was leaving Serbia very pleased with the experience he had acquired, as well as with the treatment he received from the officials and institutions of Serbia he cooperated with. He expressed his particular gratitude for the collaboration with Minister Dacic as well as with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a whole.

The two collocutors agreed that the bilateral relations were good and underscored the necessity of developing cooperation, especially on the economic plane.

Ambassador Keefe stressed that his work in Belgrade was focused on providing support to Serbia on the road to the EU and improving economic relations in order to establish more stable, safer and more prosperous region.

Serbian Foreign Minister pointed to the long tradition of bilateral relations, which was especially characterized by the friendship of the two countries in the First and Second World War. Serbian Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of the development of bilateral cooperation, indicating the need for a more intensive exchange of visits at a high level.

Thanking him for his active engagement, successful cooperation and personal contribution to the promotion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, Minister Dacic wished Ambassador Keefe every success in his future endeavours following the end of his term in office in Serbia.
