Ambassador of Finland makes a farewell call

3idaf23519 resultFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic has received today a farewell call from Ambassador of Finland to the Republic of Serbia Pertti Ikonen.

Ambassador Ikonen underlined that he was leaving Serbia very pleased with the experience he had acquired, as well as with the treatment he received from the officials and institutions of Serbia he cooperated with. He expressed his particular gratitude for the collaboration with Minister Dacic as well as with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a whole.

The two collocutors agreed that the bilateral relations were good and underscored the necessity of developing cooperation both at bilateral level and within the EU integration process.

Minister Dacic expressed gratitude to Finland for its support to Serbia's EU integration expressing a hope that when Finland assumes EU Presidency in the second half of 2019 it will continue to actively support EU enlargement and Serbia on its European path.

Thanking him for his active engagement, successful cooperation and personal contribution to the improvement of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, Minister Dacic wished Ambassador Ikonen every success in his future endeavours.
