Minister Dacic had separate meetings with President Faure Gnassingbe and with his counterpart, Foreign Minister Robert Dussey.

Minister Dacic and top officials of the Republic of Togo discussed the bilateral relations between the two traditionally friendly countries as well as the development of cooperation in many areas, especially in the economic one.

Minister Dacic and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Togo signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Togo.

These were very important meetings for the relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Togo.

Serbia is a successor to Yugoslavia and we should recall the exceptionally good relations that Yugoslavia had with Togo at Tito's time, including with the father of the current President.

We wish to renew and develop our good relations, to strengthen economic cooperation, to develop cooperation in the field of education by granting scholarships to students from Togo.

We would also like that we respect each other's interests and support each other on the international level.

At today's meeting, I also invited President of Togo to visit Serbia in the autumn.

The main result of this visit is our mutual agreement to develop strategic cooperation between the two traditionally friendly countries", the Head of Serbian Diplomacy said after the meeting in Togo.
