First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with the Head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo (OMIK), Ambassador Jan Braathu.

In the meeting, the officials discussed the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija, role of the OSCE Mission in the elections to be held in four municipalities in northern Kosovo and Metohija, including other issues of importance for OMIK activities.
Both sides noted the importance of the Mission's activity in line with its mandate and the status neutrality, and also the need for a consistent and systematic monitoring of the exercise of human rights and the rights of communities, as well as for strengthening the activities of the Mission in this regard.
