Gratitude to Georgia for its support to territorial integrity of Serbia

1dzg240419 First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic had talks with President of Georgia Ms. Salome Zourabichvili, as part of his bilateral visit to the country.

In the substantive talks, Minister Dacic conveyed gratitude of the Republic of Serbia for the strong support offered by Georgia to its territorial integrity. He stressed the importance of further promoting the bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, particularly focusing on the economy.

The Georgian President noted that she was personally pleased that a Serbian Foreign Minister was visiting Georgia, emphasizing its significance for further developing the agreed dynamic in the exchange of high-level visits with the aim of promoting overall bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries.

She familiarized the Serbian Foreign Minister with her vision for the development of Georgia, its cooperation with the EU and most important strategic goals, and also the resolution of open issues in the region, in the context of adherence to international law and respect for the territorial integrity of sovereign states. The President also expressed her gratitude to Serbia for its support to the territorial integrity of Georgia.

The interlocutors noted that the fields of economic cooperation, culture and tourism showed the most potential for development, as did cooperation in the context of European integration.
