Joint session of the Serbian and Hungarian Governments sends a powerful political message

11SirjatoFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó before the joint session of the Governments of the Republic of Serbia and Hungary, held today in Subotica.

Both sides expressed their satisfaction with the past development of bilateral relations whose upward trend had been reaffirmed by holding regular joint Government sessions.

They noted the importance of maintaining the regular practice of joint Government sessions which sent a powerful political message and confirmed a high level of understanding and trust existing in relations between the two states.

According to joint assessment, overall cooperation between the two states had been continually promoted while energy stability and improved infrastructure ties were singled out as priorities in the forthcoming period.

Minister Dacic thanked Minister Szijjártó for his consistent support to Serbia's European integration.

Minister Szijjártó expressed satisfaction with the situation of the Hungarian national minority in Serbia.

The situation in the region and the current international issues were also discussed at the meeting.
