Minister Dacic in talks with Foreign Minister of Mozambique

m3First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met, on the fringes of the High-Level UN Conference on South-South Cooperation, held in Buenos Aires, with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique Jose Condugua Pacheco.

Minister Dacic expressed solidarity with the people of Mozambique over recent suffering caused by the natural disaster that hit this friendly country of Serbia and informed his counterpart that the Government of the Republic of Serbia reached a decision yesterday on the provision of material aid to Mozambique, in line with Serbia's capabilities.

Minister Pacheco expressed warm gratitude for this gesture by Serbia and described, in detail, tragic floods and the other disaster aftermath killing over 1,000 people and making the second largest town wiped out after sweeping away 90% of its houses.

Minister Dacic underlined that Mozambique, being the country Serbia is linked to by the long history of exceptional relations, could always count on its assistance. He invited Minister Pacheco to pay a return visit to Serbia. Minister Pacheco said that he would take the first favourable opportunity to do so and recalled excellent talks the two of them had at their last meeting.
