Ivica DacicFirst Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic extended today his congratulations for Hanukkah to all members of the Jewish community in Serbia as well as to Isak Asiel, the Chief Rabbi of the Jewish Community in Serbia, and Robert Sabados, President of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Serbia.

"On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and on my own behalf, I have the pleasure to extend to you my congratulations for Hanukkah, and my wish to spend the upcoming festive days in peace, tranquillity and joy, together with your loved ones.

May Hanukkah – the symbol of light, hope and miracle – but also of hope for a better future and new beginnings reminds us all that we hold our destinies in our own hands and that we are able to perform our own miracles every day. We must not forget that only through the power of human spirit and firm determination can we fight for the values we believe in and make a contribution to a better, safer and more successful world", reads the congratulatory message by Minister Dacic.
