MFAOn Saturday 24 November, early in the morning, an intrusion into the premises of the Serbian Embassy in Athens took place, when an unidentified young man jumped over the fence into the yard, making a forcible entry into the consular section and the Embassy building itself.

After several attempts of the employees to talk to him and calm him down, he started breaking the inventory and threatening them. It was only then that the employees noticed that the intruder was armed with a cold weapon.
Owing to the timely reaction by the Embassy staff and Greek police who immediately responded to the Ambassador's call, the man was taken out of the Embassy premises after several hours of negotiation.
Fortunately, no one was hurt, although considerable material damage was caused.
