Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in New Delhi, H.E. Vladimir Maric and President of "Marwah" film studio Sandip Marwah opened the Indian-Serbian film and culture forum in Noida on 23 October 2016. Apart from Sandi Marwah, who is also presiding the International University of Roma in Belgrade, the event was attended by numerous Indian actors and artists.

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia and the Association of the Serbian-Bulgarian Friendship Association organized a Serbian-Bulgarian friendship night at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Sofia on 22 October 2016. The occasion was the end of this year's poet competition in which more than a hundred poets from Serbia and Bulgaria as well as those from other European countries and around the world took part.

The 16th Serbian Film Festival in Australia was formally inaugurated by "A Stinking Fairytale", a film by Miroslav Momcilovic, at "Cinema Paris FOX Studio" in Sydney, on 21 October 2016. During the festival, from 21 October to 8 November 2016, four newest films made by Serbian cineastes will be presented: "A Stinking Fairytale" by Mirosalv Momcilovic, "Humidity" by Nikola Ljuca, Double Trouble (Braca po babinoj liniji) by Rados Bajic and "The Black Pin" (Igla ispod praga) by Ivan Marinovic.
