altAmbassador of the Republic of Kenya Judi Wakhungu, accredited to the Republic of Serbia on a non-resident basis with a seat in Paris, took the opportunity to pay a visit to Ambassador Dragan Zupanjevac on the premises of the Serbian Embassy in Nairobi during her stay there.

The collocutors agreed that the previous three years were marked by an increased dynamic in the relations between the two countries and exchange of high-level bilateral visits, including the reciprocal visits by Parliament Speakers of the two countries, thus demonstrating the historical friendship. Furthermore, they noted that there were significant opportunities to expand the economic and military cooperation. The Ambassadors expressed hope that the cooperation would be further intensified and promoted in the period to come, as Kenya had taken the seat of a non-permanent member of the Security Council and particularly taking into account Kenya's principled position not to recognize the unilaterally declared independence of "Kosovo".

Ambassador Wakhungu previously performed duties of Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Environment and initiated the decision to ban plastic bags there making Kenya one of the first countries in the world to take this step.
