Chicago: Consulate General welcomes participants of RSNA world radiology meeting

altOn 2 December, the Consulate General co-hosted with Serbian American Medical Dental Society (SAMDS) a cocktail reception for Serbian medical doctors, their business partners and Serbian-U.S. medical staff who took part in the Radiological Society of North America 106th Annual Meeting. Acting Consul General Milan Varadinovic and President of the Society Ljuba Stojilkovic, Aleksandra Begovic of Visaris and Professor Dragana Djilas from the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad, addressed the guests at the Consulate.
 
The guests appreciated the idea of hosting expert gatherings to facilitate contacts and connectivity among expert communities and the reception at the Consulate received media attention. Serbian Television USA and RTS World aired statements made by guests and by Acting Consul General Mr. Varadinovicalt.

 
The world's biggest annual radiology conference which gathered some 50,000 doctors and 700 speakers from the whole world was held in Chicago on 1-6 December. Serbia was represented by medical doctors, medical equipment manufacturers and traders as well as healthcare facilities such as "Belmedic", "Zvezdara", Military Medical Academy – VMA, Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad and the Institute of Medical Statistics and Informatics. A standout at the event was the booth set up by "Visaris" which presented its offer of radiology equipment manufactured in Serbia, including also a lecture by Dragana Djilas MD of the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad.
