altThe Serbian Embassy in Minsk gave a reception for freshmen of Serbian language at the Belarusian State University's Faculty of Philology and their Professor Ivan Charota, associate member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.

Ambassador Veljko Kovacevic encouraged the students to learn more about the Serbian history, culture and lifestyle, and to get acquainted with their peers, fellow students from Serbia. The Ambassador noted that the best way to bring peoples closer together was through culture and language studies, while stressing the role and importance of Professor Ivan Charota who had been awarded by former Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic for his merits in this field.

At the Embassy, the students also had the opportunity to attend a screening of a presentation on Serbia and Belgrade.
