Skopje: Ambassador Divjak-Tomic received Recognition of Merit from Film Festival "Shroud of the Mother of God"

altAmbassador to North Macedonia Dusanka Divjak-Tomic along with 6 other Ambassadors received the Recognition of Merit from Film Festival "Shroud of the Mother of God". The festival, which lasted from 14 to 19 October, featured films from Serbia, Russia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Greece.

In their acceptance speeches, the recipient Ambassadors expressed hope that this event would continue into the future and promote humane and spiritual values.

The festival program included two films from Hungary produced by Milan Kicevac, a filmmaker of Serbian origin, living in Budapest. The first one, "Maestro" is a documentary on Russian director Yuri Rakitin who fled to Serbia in the wake of the Bolshevik revolution and made outstanding contribution to theater life in Serbia. The other film by Milan Kicevac, "Migration that never ends" depicts a rich Serbian heritage in Hungary – monuments, museums and many other notable achievements with contributions by His Holiness Patriarch Irinej, Dr. Dinko Davidov of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Art, Professor Milo Lompar and others.

The opening of the fourth International Film Festival devoted to spiritual, humane and cultural values was held in the Cinematheque in Skopje and received coverage in "Vecer", the largest circulation daily.
