altAmbassador of Serbia to Algeria Aleksandar Jankovic presented to the President of the Republic of Mali Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta the Order of the Republic of Serbia on a sash. The ceremony took place in the Presidential Palace in Bamako on 18 October, in the presence of Mali's Foreign Minister Tiébilé Dramé.

This high decoration of the President of the Republic of Serbia was awarded to the President of Mali in recognition of his efforts towards developing peaceful cooperation and friendly relations between Serbia and Mali.

Before the decoration ceremony, Ambassador Jankovic handed his Letter of Credence to President Keïta, accrediting him as Ambassador of Serbia to Mali on a non-resident basis.
During the meeting that followed, President Keïta and Ambassador Jankovic assessed that the relations between the two countries were marked by traditional friendship. Ambassador Jankovic conveyed gratitude to President Keïta and the leadership of Mali for the principled position regarding the respect of the territorial integrity of Serbia and for not recognizing the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and Metohija.
