Buenos Aires: Works of Mokranjac presented at a concert at the Argentine MFA

altAmbassador Jela Bacovic and MFA Director General for Culture Sergio Alberto Baur inaugurated a solemn concert of the Argentine Children's Choir and Serbian harpist Lena Petrovic on September 5 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship. The concert "Let's get closer through music" was organized by the Embassy of Serbia within the "Merging cultures" MFA cycle of Argentina.

The children's choir performed compositions by Serbian composer Stevan Mokranjac. Lenka Petrovic, winner of the first prize at the World Harp Competition in Israel, performed her winning program, "Bobanovo Oro" (Boban's circle dance) composed by Vojislav Ivanovic.

Members of the diplomatic corps, MFA of Argentina, diaspora and representatives of cultural and public life were present. After the concert, guests were served Serbian treats.

Lena Petrovic also had a concert on September 2 which opened the 5th Harp Week in Buenos Aires. Serbian Ambassador Jela Bacovic gave a short speech on the occasion.

This cultural event was attended by a large number of visitors, including representatives of institutions in Argentina.
