Qatar's daily newspaper in English "Gulf Times" published an interview with Serbian Ambassador Jasminko Pozderac in which he conveyed the readiness of the Republic of Serbia to strengthen friendly and economic ties with Qatar.

He also talked about sports cooperation, for which provisions were made in the agreement signed between the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Qatar, as Qatar could benefit from Serbia's experience ahead of the FIFA World Cup to take place in Doha in 2022.
