The Albanian media gave a considerable publicity to the celebration of the Statehood Day of Serbia, hosted by the Serbian Embassy, at Tirana International Hotel, on 18 February. ATA news agency relayed the address by Ambassador Miroljub Zaric with several photos from the reception.

It was reported that the Ambassador pointed out that one of the important foreign policy goals of Serbia was improvement of relations with all neighbouring countries, Albania included, with which progress had been made in the last four years.

"The increase in trade resulted from the establishment of a joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Albania and Serbia, with its headquarters in Tirana," Ambassador Zaric underlined.



The ATA news agency release was transmitted by some media, such as "Gazeta Blic", "Koha", "Bota Sota". The only daily newspaper in English language, AND, published an excerpt from the Serbian Ambassador's speech, while "Ora TV News" rerun its report from the event the next day.
