On 13 December, the tourist offer of Serbia was presented at the Serbian Embassy in Minsk. The presentation was organized by the National Tourism Organization of Serbia. At the opening ceremony, Serbian Ambassador Veljko Kovacevic underlined that the relations between Serbia and Belarus were traditionally good and friendly.

"Tourism is an area which we wish to enhance and develop further. For Serbia, tourism is not significant only for the economy, but also for the development of human relations, since it helps people to get to know each other better," Ambassador said.

The programme was rich, with particular emphasis on winter tourism. Serbian wine and food were served and a quiz about Serbia organized, as well as a raffle, the main prize being a trip to Serbia that was won by a journalist from the Belarus Radio. All participants were given gifts inspired by Serbia.



The presentation was attended by the representatives of travel agencies from Belarus, president of the social organization "Belaya Rus" Genadiy Davidko, representatives of Belarus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, company MAZ, Professor Ivan Carota, Belarus students of Serbian language and literature at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, as well as the representatives of Serbian diaspora in Belarus.



Presentation of Serbian tourist offer attracted Belarus media and Ambassador Kovacevic gave a couple of interviews for the public news agency Belta, the first channel of Belarus national TV and radio broadcasting agency, Belarus Radio and for the press agency Belarus Today.
