altSunday's Eleftheros Typos published an article signed by Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Hellenic Republic Dusan Spasojevic about the tariffs imposed by Pristina on the goods made in central Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Ambassador qualified the obstruction of trade with Kosovo and Metohija as the "most serious attempt at destabilizing Serbia", and called the imposed tariffs "an anti-civilizational act violating freedom of movement and free circulation of goods, capital and services".

The ball is now in the court of the European Union, since the increase of tariffs breaches the Stabilization and Association Agreement and the rules of CEFTA. We call upon our European partners not to give in under duress and to prevent the European agreements from being rendered completely meaningless", stressed Ambassador Spasojevic.

The Ambassador concluded his article by underlining how vital it is that not a single state – especially those that have not recognized the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and Metohija and friendly Greece in the first place – should give Pristina a reason to believe that it enjoys support for its unacceptable policy, or make a gesture that would lead to regional destabilization.
