Sydney: Opening ceremony for the Children's Football Academy |

![]() Around one hundred guests gathered in the Serbian Consulate and were greeted by Consul Branislav Grbic. In addition to first students of the football academy, also present were members of the sing and folk dance ensemble of the Church-School community St. Sava from Elanora Heights in northern Sydney. Velibor Jokovic, a coach and founder of the Academy, who coached several university teams in futsal, said that his mission was to make new champions and that the academy was inspired by a wish to create an environment in which children will be able to meet, make friends and develop through sport. ![]() Professional football players from Serbia and Australia sent their video messages. After the event, children played a football match in the Consulate yard. |
