Moscow: An evening devoted to Serbia-Russian Scientific and Slavic editions

altAn evening devoted to Slavic cultural dialogue, the latest scientific publications and translations of Serbian classical works in Russian was held in the Embassy of Serbia in Moscow with participation of Ilya Chislov, a Slavic scholar and President of the Society of Serbian-Russian Friendship.

The guests were welcomed by Ambassador Slavenko Terzic who expressed his pleasure at this event bringing together Russian scientists and Slavic scholars dealing with Serbia. He particularly emphasized fruitful scientific and Slavic cooperation in this year. Among other things, on 15-16 October 2018, a major scientific conference was held in Moscow – International Scientific Conference "180 years of friendship, trust, cooperation: anniversary of the establishment of Serbian-Russian relations".

In their statements, the participants devoted special attention to the growing interest in Serbian culture in Russia, research of Russian-Serbian relations, heritage of Slavic traditions and future projects. Ambassador Terzic received special expressions of gratitude for his commitment in promoting contacts, events and publications of scientific and Slavic editions and meetings.

Slavic scholars and scientists from the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute for Russian History RAN and Maxim Gorky Literature Institute RAN took part in this event. The guests included students and lecturers from the above institutes as well as from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University) Moscow State University "M.V.Lomonosov" (MGU), Saint Tikhon's Orthodox University of Humanities, Institute for Languages and Culture "L.N.Tolstoy" and our students in Moscow.

As part of the program, Society of Serbian-Russian Friendship featured a traditional video presentation "Serbia in my Heart".
