Ambassador Aleksandar Jankovic was guest of the daily "Liberté" and with his host Said Chekri visited Foreign and Economic Affairs desks.

In a conversation with the director of the newspaper, Ambassador Jankovic recalled the traditionally friendly relations and cooperation between Serbia and Algeria and acknowledged the importance of the support of the Algerian leadership and people to our positions regarding Kosovo and Metohija. He expressed gratitude to Director Chekri for professional and unbiased reporting on Serbia and our region.

Director Chekri said that he valued the traditional friendship between Serbia and Algeria as well as our country's support to their struggle for independence from the French colonial rule.

"Liberté" published an article on our Ambassador's visit highlighting the traditional friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, with a reminder of the role played by prominent individuals like Stevan Labudovic, a famous cameraman, a hero of the Algerian revolution.
