On 7 July, Secretary General of Qatar Chess Association, Mohammed Al-Modaihki, and the former world chess champion, Chinese grandmaster Zhu Chen, were the guests of the Serbian Embassy in Doha.

Serbian Ambassador Jasminko Pozderac, who played a game of chess with the world champion Zhu Chen during the informal part of the meeting, discussed cooperation between the chess associations of Qatar and Serbia with the guests.
