The traditional running event hosted worldwide by the Radio Television of Serbia for the members of Serbian diaspora took place in Moscow's Vorobyovy Gory Park on 26 May. Children aged 3-17 and their parents from Moscow, Podmoskovye, Kaluga and Tula districts competed 50 - 250 meter-long tracks.

Mr. Branislav Radojcic welcomed the contestants on behalf of the Serbian Embassy and underlined the importance of such events enabling Serbian children to socialize with each other and foster their language and identity. On behalf of the organizer, Ms. Vesna Pantovic invited the race winners to come to the Svilajnac camp in June which will gather children from the Serbian diaspora worldwide.

This was the sixth time that the event was held in Moscow and all the winning trophies are being kept at the Serbian Embassy.
A folk ensemble from the "Zavicaj" sing-and-dance company performed a potpourri of Serbian folk dances for the contestants, while actor Srdjan Simic held a children's acting class.
