Pretoria: Marking the anniversary of St. Sava School

altAnniversary of St. Sava School, which operates in Johannesburg, Pretoria, under the curriculum of the Ministry of Education of Serbia, was marked by the Embassy of Serbia in the Republic of South Africa, on 12 May, in cooperation with the cultural and artistic group "Africa".

Ambassador Bozin Nikolic pointed to the importance of the work of St. Sava School for the preservation of the Serbian language and culture but he also emphasized the significance of strengthening the friendly relations between Serbia and RSA. Mr. Sinisa Tucakovic, Chairman of the School Board, thanked the Embassy for its continued support to the work of the school.

The students of the School made a performance together with the Zulu dance group Cak-caka that sang a song devoted to the anniversary of the Serbian school. Apart from the parents and guests of the Serbian community in RSA, the reception was also attended by Directors of the King and Kiddie Academy in Pretoria Saremen Justin and Susan Creek, the school where the classes are taught in the Serbian language.
