The Republic of Serbia participated, for the first time, at the Europe Day celebration in Dusseldorf normally only attended by the EU member states. The Consulate General presented tourist and economic offer of Serbia and provided the space for the presentation of wines given by representatives of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Serbian winery.

This event, under the motto: "One extra day for Europe", was held on the central square in front of the City Hall. The booth of the Republic of Serbia was visited by Dusseldorf Mayor Thomas Geisel as well as by Ms. Elena Matekina from the SRB Investment Agency but also by a number of other visitors. They were provided with information about Serbia, with tourist brochures and booklets both in Serbian and German languages, and many visitors enjoyed tasting Serbian wines.

Cultural and Artistic Society Moravac from Dusseldorf made a performance on the main stage.
